David Winstein of the NY Times takes a look at Kelvim Escobar's situation. Escobar believes he shouldn't have taken a break for four weeks between winter ball and the start of spring training. During the time off instead of the shoulder getting rest it became weak. He stated that if he continues to feel pain he will have an MRI, depending on what the doctors say, will dictate what direction he takes. If the doctors believe he has a reasonable chance of pitching again, he said he will endure one more surgery, if not then it could be he end of the road for his pitching career....His plan is to strengthen his shoulder by working with the physical therapist Chris Correnti, who has helped Johan Santana in his recovery from elbow surgery.
