Evan Meek To DL, Pirates Recall Danny Moskos

Pittsburgh Pirates’ 2007 first round draft pick Danny Moskos has been recalled to the MLB team to replace reliever Evan Meek. Meek was placed on the 15-day disabled list today. Moskos, the fourth overall pick in 2007, has been dominant in AAA this season. He currently boasts a 1.69 ERA and a 0.94 WHIP in 10.2 innings in Indianapolis, along with a 7:1 K/BB ratio. The 25-year-old lefty reliever will forever be remembered by Pirates fans as the player who was selected instead of then-top-ranked catcher Matt Wieters, who is now with the Baltimore Orioles.
