There are plenty instances of fans who want their 15 seconds of fame and get it by running on a field during a live sporting event. Usually they range from 21-40 and they are helped by some sort of liquid courage. Today during the Chicago White Sox and Baltimore Orioles game a fan ran onto the field and the game was halted momentarily. The culprit was not our usual fan looking for attention, but in fact it was a young child. I have to say that I’m pleased security didn’t spear him on the field, but instead he got carried back into the stands where he can get back to his cotton candy.

Child runs onto field during White Sox-Orioles game
I had just stopped watching the White Sox/Orioles game when I noticed this tweet pop up on one of my columns on Tweetdeck:
A small child was just running around in left field. He's being carried off by security. No tackling or tasering. That was bizarre.

Yes, that sounded bizarre enough for me to tune back in and go...
Role finally solidified, Reimold on a roll: Special for MASNSports.com
As most fans know, it has been an extremely tough road for Nolan Reimold during the past few seasons. Life is always full of ups and downs, but the true test of someone's character depends on how they persevere. So far, Reimold is passing that test - at least professionally. During the early weeks of the season, he has been one of the hottest hitters in baseball, batting...
This season is critical for Adam Jones: Special For MASNSports.com
During the offseason, one the biggest names on the Orioles - Adam Jones - was a target of trade rumors, specifically talks with the Atlanta Braves for pitcher Jair Jurrjens and infielder Martin Prado. Baltimore didn't wind up trading Jones, as we all know; however, will he stay with Orioles throughout his career or move to greener pastures and go to a winner? Jones'...
Waiver Wire: Nolan Reimold, OF, Baltimore Orioles
Nolan Reimold hit his fourth homer of the season last night. That’s as many as Adrian Gonzalez and Prince Fielder combined. So what if it’s not even a month into the season, it’s fun to think about.
That being said, he is only owned in 16 percent of ESPN fantasy baseball leagues and 37 percent of Yahoo! fantasy baseball leagues. This is a travesty for a guy who has 4...
Jones, Reimold look to stay hot
The sporting world is replete with fantastic and sometimes maddening stories in mid-April.
- The NHL Playoffs have been chock-full of hard-nosed and action-packed contests.
- The NBA regular season is coming down the wire, though the exuberance about the playoffs has been tempered by injuries to major stars and the continuing soap opera in Orlando.
- Many football fans have a...
Alexei Ramirez Has Been A Consistent Contributor For The White Sox – Can He Take The Next Step?
Alexei Ramirez has been one of the White Sox most consistent players throughout the last few seasons.
He’s been an everyday starter for four seasons now and has averaged a .278 BA, 19 HR, and 77 RBI per year. What’s most impressive is that these statistics have not been skewed by extreme numbers in any given year; in each of his seasons he had stats right around those averages...
Not Much to Say, Orioles Lose to White Sox; Tommy Hunter Struggles...
This week, the Orioles have been riding high in Chicago; however, on Wednesday night it all came to screeching halt. The White Sox earned their first win of the series with an 8-1 drubbing of the Orioles in the Windy City. There’s not much to be said on part of the Orioles. Endy Chavez plated in a run in the second inning, but the bats were quiet after that.Jake Peavy – who...

Reimold and Hardy Help O's and Chen Win...
So, the Orioles are only eleven games into the 2012 season. I felt that they would struggle throughout the season considering the state of their pitching; however, so far that has been wrong.
The Baltimore Orioles won again in Chicago as they defeated the Chicago White Sox, in a razor thin 3-2 victory. Wei-Yin Chen earned his first major victory, and the bullpen – Darren O...

Ozzie Guillen: In his first game back after a five game suspension many were waiting to see what fan reactions to Ozzie Guillen were going to be in Miami after his comments about Former Cuban dictator Fidel Castro, and his apology. And as it turns out the reaction was very inderwelming. Their were only one or two portesters outside before the game and maybe just a hand full of...
