And boom goes the dynamite.
The Angels made two big moves today, that will make them immediate contenders for not just a AL West title, but a World Series as well. Let’s take a look at how Albert Pujols and C.J. Wilson shake up the fantasy world.
What about Mark Trumbo and Kendrys Morales?
This can’t be good news for Morales, who has been out for the better part of two seasons with a leg injury. You think the Angels would have made such an effort to sign Pujols if Morales was recovering well from surgery? If you own him in keeper leagues you have to be worried as to what is going on with his health.
As for Trumbo, he was a great source of power and speed (29 HR/9 SB), but his anemic .291 OBP kept his value low. The Angels claim that they aren’t looking to move Trumbo in any deals so where does he fit? I can see him platooning in a OF/DH role with Bobby Abreu and he could also play some third base if needed. It’s not 100% certain how everything will settle, but it looks like everyone...

MONEY AIN'T A THING
Albert Pujols stunned the sports world by announcing he was signing with the Angels Thursday, accepting the 10-year $254 million deal they offered. He left behind St. Louis — a city, franchise, and fan base he proclaimed to love — to sign with a new team. It’s left the Cardinals community hurt, upset, and feeling [...]
Bra-freaking-vo. That, folks, is some serious comeuppance. The photo, courtesy of @Matt Sebek (by way of The Sports Hernia Blog). Sebek is understandably irate over Pujols signing with Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim and chose to express his frustrations by a little bit of subtle statue-defacing. I wholeheartedly applause his actions. He tweets: How about [...]
Just mere minutes after landing the biggest free agent, in Albert Pujols, sources from LA are reporting CJ Wilson has verbally agreed to join him with the Los Angeles Angels.
Wilson, the ace on a Texas Rangers side that made 2 straight World Series, was apparently deciding between the Miami Marlins and LA. You have to expect the Pujols signing to have been...

To many, it was shocking that Albert Pujols decided to leave familiar territory in St. Louis and sign with the Angels on Thursday. But maybe even more shocking is the fact...
C.J. Wilson and the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim have had the distinct look and feel of a dream fit from the day he became a free agent. Now, it has become a reality.
The Dominican slugger's baseball skills might draw more attention than his heritage after his decision to join the Angels. After grabbing Jose Reyes, Mark Buehrle and Heath Bell and missing on Albert Pujols and C.J. Wilson, Miami still has its eyes on the market.
A ton of stuff to report.Albert Pujols is signing with the Angels for 10 years at $25 million + per year.Evidently the Vernon Wells contract isn't hampering them too much, as they are also reported to be signing CJ Wilson for 5 years, $75 million.Miami/Florida continued its busy offseason by signing Mark Buehrle to a 4 year, $58 million deal.In Toronto news, the Blue Jays DFA...
