I was pleasantly surprised on Saturday when Ryan Dempster broke his good game-bad game pattern yesterday with a decent outing that ended up being a win. All we needed was another decent start from Scott Feldman for a four-game sweep of the Twins.
So close and yet so far.
Six runs on ten hits in 5.2 innings is not a decent start, Feldman. Not at all. Sure, only five of those were earned, but part of that was Feldman’s own fault. They failed at a rundown (this is becoming a trend), and Minnesota took advantage, scoring in five out of the first six innings. Not even a 90-minute rain delay in the 1st could stop the Twins, and it certainly didn’t do Feldman any favors either.
The Rangers offensive lineup was weird today. Elvis Andrus sat (on his birthday). Luis Hernandez was at short stop. Mitch Moreland was batting second. Josh Hamilton was in left.
