One by one, the Hall of Famers playing in the annual golf tournament stepped off the tee Saturday and were asked about Barry Bonds' pursuit of Hank Aaron's career home run record.
Almost immediately, they winced. It didn't matter if they were critics or defenders of Bonds, who moved within one of Aaron by hitting No. 754 Friday night. Nobody, it seems, enjoys discussing Bonds, the record he's about to break and what he might have done along the way.
