Dickey threw seven innings and allowed three runs, two earned, on eight hits and no walks, while striking out seven. David Wright and Angel Pagan combined to go 2-for-6 with two runs batted in. Wright also committed his sixth error in the past seven games. The last Met with that many errors in a seven game span was Jeff Kent at third base in 1996. Jason Bay was hit less in four plate appearances snapping a ten game hitting streak. Jose Reyes did not collect a hit in four at-bats, ending his hitting streak at 14 games.
