Plaschke, Thy Sweater Is Argyle:
I recently saw a post over at Dodger Penguin in which Matthew landed a Paul Konerko auto. I've wanted Paul's auto for some time, and had the card I was after in mind, but it always slipped my mind to make a real push towards acquiring it.I decided enough was enough and put some effort into knocking it off of my Cardboard Bucket List. For under $7 delivered this on-card beauty is finally mine.

The subject came up again and Paul Konerko fouled it off the same way he has so many two-strike sliders on the outside corner during the course of his career.
Next pitch please. And next question.
This time the question wasn’t about whether this season will be his last but about when he might decide.
Same topic still off-limits.
Konerko’s contract is up after the season his...
Chicago right-hander Andre Rienzo was scratched from his start against Detroit on Friday night because of a blister on his throwing hand.
Right-hander Dylan Axelrod started in Rienzo's place. Rienzo is 2-2 with a 5.04 ERA this season.
Detroit was dealing with its own injury. Shortstop Jose Iglesias was out of the lineup, one day after being hit in the left hand by a pitch....
In a lost season, John Danks found something encouraging.
Danks allowed four runs in the first two innings of the Chicago White Sox's 4-3 loss to the Minnesota Twins on Wednesday.
From his perspective, though, the next five innings were more important.
''From the third inning on, that's what I hope to be from this moment on - a groundball machine that's throwing...
The Chicago White Sox have won five straight over the Minnesota Twins and will try to complete a three-game home sweep as a pair of struggling left-handed starters match up.
Minnesota's Scott Diamond is 2-0 this year against the White Sox, who will counter with John Danks on Wednesday in Chicago.
The Twins (64-86) took 10 of the first 13 meetings between the AL Central's...
Dylan Axelrod offered no excuses for his performance.
The Chicago right-hander was forced to start Friday night because of an injury to teammate Andre Rienzo, and Axelrod gave up seven runs in less than three innings in Detroit's 12-5 win over the White Sox.
Tigers starter Max Scherzer became baseball's first 20-game winner.
Axelrod said he knew in advance he would be...
Jose Quintana won’t tie the all-time mark for no decisions this season.
He earned the victory on Tuesday night as the White Sox defeated the Minnesota Twins 4-3 at U.S. Cellular Field.
Quintana has already established an American League record with 17 no decisions and leads the majors. But his chance to tie Bert Blyleven’s all-time mark of 20 established in 1979 was wiped out...
On Monday night, September 23, brand-new IBF Junior Middleweight Champion "King" Carlos Molina will be at U.S. Cellular Field in his native Chicago to throw out the Ceremonial First Pitch when the Chicago White Sox play the Toronto Blue Jays.
Enjoying the celebrity that comes with success on the world level, Molina has gone on an extended media tour since winning his IBF...
Lookin' like Southpaw or Oscar the Grouch?
The Twins jumped on White Sox starter John Danks early and pulled out a 4-3 win at U.S. Cellular Field on Wednesday.
Twins lefthander Diamond 6-11 faltered some late but can still feel good about his outing as he snapped a five-game losing streak that went back to June 20. Over 61/3 innings Diamond gave up three runs on five hits and two walks - enough for a quality start. He entered...
