DANA WAKIJIFOXSPORTSDETROIT.COM DETROIT --Jhonny Peralta is not saying much, but he did speak before Wednesday's day game. Tigers president and general manager Dave Dombrowski acknowledged late Tuesday night that they had traded outfielder Avisail Garcia to the White Sox and reliever Brayan Villarreal to the Red Sox as part of a three-team deal that netted them shortstopthird baseman Jose Iglesias because of the uncertainty surrounding Peralta. Peralta was one of the names of players listed in the Biogenesis reports. Although Peralta had initially said he had never taken any performance-enhancing drugs, reports had surfaced that he might be among the players ready to accept a plea deal of a 50-game suspension. "I don't hear nothing yet," Peralta said. "Try to play this game. I'm still here, so I don't worry about nothing. Try to play this game today." Peralta was asked whether it was tough to not think about the reports. "It's hard a little bit, but I need to forget about it and try to move on, try to do what I need to do," he said. "I don't try to put a lot of attention on it. I try to play baseball every day and try to come in ready to play every day and don't try to worry about what everybody say." Peralta, who made his second All-Star Game with the Tigers this month, is batting .308 with 10 home runs and 53 RBIs in 100 games. "I feel really good," Peralta said. I feel I'm doing a really good job, and I think this is the best year that I have right now for me. I try to keep it going and see what happens." Peralta acknowledged that it would be hard if he weren't able to continue this season, considering how well he's played. "It's gonna be disappointing, but there's nothing that I can do," Peralta said. "I try to do the best I can do and try to help everybody here," For Wednesday, at least, Peralta was going to be able to help the Tigers. He was in the lineup at shortstop, batting sixth.
