All the free agent focus, and rightly so, is on C.J. Wilson and Jose Reyes and Albert Pujols and Prince Fielder. Wednesday, 537 minor league players were granted free agency. These guys may not be difference makers, but rest assured some will play key roles in helping clubs get to the postseason. How teams stock their Triple-A teams directly impacts wins and losses at the big league level. Everyone has injuries, so it’s imperative organizations have guys at the upper levels of the minors that can at least temporarily patch those holes.
