Former major league pitcher Scott Elarton has joined the Sugar Land Skeeters of the Atlanta League. Elarton has not pitched in the major leagues since 2008. Elarton’s last productive season came in 2005 when he won 11 games for the Indians. Last year Elarton made 26 starts for the Phillies Triple-A team finishing with a 5.41 ERA and a 1.57 WHIP. The Skeeters also signed former big league pitchers Sean Gallager and Bobby Livingston.
