By ANDREW GRUMAN FOXSportsWisconsin.com Ben Sheets is going to give baseball one more shot. After not pitching in almost two years, the former Brewers' All-Star has signed a minor league contract with the Atlanta Braves. The club announced the signing Sunday after Sheets threw a bullpen session at Turner Field in Atlanta. He will report to Double-A Mississippi and make his first start Wednesday. Sheets, 33, has not pitched at all since his last major league start, which came July 19, 2010 for Oakland. The right-hander missed the 2011 season after undergoing Tommy John surgery on his right elbow. During his eight seasons in Milwaukee, Sheets made four All-Star teams and posted a 86-83 record with a 3.72 ERA. Following the 2008 season, Sheets went unsigned by teams after he had surgery on his right elbow to repair a torn flexor tendon. He finally latched on with Oakland prior to the 2010 season and was the Athletics' Opening Day starter, going 4-9 with a 4.53 ERA before needing Tommy John surgery.
