Found September 16, 2012 on Love My Bravos:
My brother hadn't been to a Braves game in a while and was so excited to go this Friday night -- he looked for tickets forever. The game turned out so well! Let's look at some pictures. Michelle: "You took no pictures of my Mac!" Uh, of course I did. Here's one. There are more in the gallery. :) Hee hee, I see you Kimmie. ❤ Oh, EO and Durbin have such great smiles here! Is Mike Gonzalez funny? He was keeping EO grinning all BP. This season hasn't been the same without Moylo. Glad he's back. :) "Lean wit it, rock wit it" Jonny stood far away so he could shake his dip can, I see. :( My brother was going to catch a home run, but none were hit into our section. ❤ He makes this face a lot. :) Last Mike Minor picture, I swear. I just loved his funny shrug here! Bryce Harper hitting bombs in the cage Just because you're shut down doesn't mean you can't still wear your socks up. former Braves closer. Totally can't tell if he's tru...

Braves activate Sheets from disabled list

ATLANTA (AP) -- The Atlanta Braves activated Ben Sheets from the 15-day disabled list on Saturday, and he will pitch out of the bullpen for the first time in his career. He was on the disabled list with right shoulder inflammation for three weeks. Sheets lost his third straight start Aug. 23 at San Francisco, dropping to 4-4 with a 3.54 ERA in eight starts. Sheets has started...

Suzanna’s pictures from Friday’s game

A friend and I both had a free weekend last week, so we drove to Atlanta together for the game on the 14th.  It had been a few years since either of us had been able to go to a game, and since this is Chipper’s last year we had extra incentive to get to a game before the end of the season.  We got to Turner Field before 4:30 and, after a bit, found the only gate that was open...

Chipper gets unique gift from Brewers

As Chipper Jones continues his farewell tour across Major League Baseball, the Brewers may have given him the most unique gift he will receive.

Minor, Braves complete sweep of Nats

ATLANTA (AP) -- The Atlanta Braves gave themselves a glimmer of hope in the NL East. Hey, after what happened to these guys a year ago, they're not giving up on chasing down the first-place Washington Nationals. Mike Minor threw six strong innings, Dan Uggla broke it open with a two-run single and the Braves denied Gio Gonzalez his 20th win, completing a sweep of Washington...

Two hidden videos

Have you ever seen this Beachy slo-mo vid?   Brandon Beachy at 1,500 FPS from @hill_scott on Vimeo.   Or this interview with Cristhian?     Also, seriously, can you hear this? I can only catch a "juego" and "entonces" here and there. Surely it's worth listening to, since we never ever see Cristhian interviews?

Klements, Brewers, give retirement gift to Chipper Jones

Its better than a gold watch...right? Chipper Jones is in the midst of his final illustrious Major League Baseball career. As he and the Braves make their last appearance in various cities, the fans and the opposing teams are recognizing Chipper's play and his decorated career. He received a Green Monster plaque from the Red Sox. A surfboard from the Padres. But...no one...

Braves 5, Nationals 4

Pinch-runner Jeff Baker scored the go-ahead run in the eighth inning when reliever Ryan Mattheus hit Andrelton Simmons' uniform with a bases-loaded pitch that helped the Atlanta Braves beat the Washington Nationals 5-4 on Saturday. Jason Heyward and Freddie Freeman homered for the Braves, who have won the first two games in the series and nine of 13. Atlanta moved within 6...

MIAMI (AP) -- Dan Uggla hit a three-run home run in the first inning, Martin Prado tied a career best with four hits and the Atlanta Braves beat the Miami Marlins 7-5 on Monday night. Tim Hudson (15-6) allowed a season-high 10 hits in five innings, still beating the Marlins for the fifth straight time. Atlanta -- which swept a three-game series from Washington over the weekend ...

Gio Gonzalez tips his cap to Chipper Jones

On his way off the field in the sixth after missing out on his 20th win of the season, Gio Gonzalez tipped his cap and gave a thumbs up to Chipper Jones (who was on third thanks to a walk and then a Freddie Freeman double). MIAMI (AP) -- Dan Uggla hit a three-run home run in the first inning, Martin Prado tied a career best with four hits and the Atlanta Braves beat the Miami Marlins 7-5 on Monday night. Marlins' LeBlanc takes on the Braves at home

By sweeping a series from the NL East leaders, the Atlanta Braves have managed to stay in the conversation for the division crown. A far more realistic way to make the playoffs is securing the NL's first wild card, and a series with the last-place Miami Marlins should help with that endeavor, especially with Tim Hudson set to pitch. Hudson looks to win his fifth straight start...
