When a team's win streak is finally snapped, feelings of disappointment usually accompany the unfamiliar loss. However, tonight, I can't say I feel anywhere near disappointed in the game that I watched the Angels play.

Tonight's match a was a tough one for the Halos, only evident by the fact that they scored less runs than the opponent.

Jarrod Parker took the mound for the Athletics with an ERA that was hardly over 3.00 and a 10-game win streak (away) to maintain for his club. He got the better of the Angels' offense tonight, but as I had previously mentioned, this loss isn't dramatic or disappointing in the slightest.

Athletics 3, Angels 1

Game Notes:

- Jarrod Parker kept the Angels' offense at bay tonight by throwing 7 innings of one-run ball, allowing only three hits, and striking out two batters.

- The Angels' offense, on the other hand, only managed to score one run tonight. However, I wouldn't call it a bad night for the line up. They were making contact, but it was just one of those nights. Every team runs into a game where the hits don't fall into place. Unfortunately, that night was in the middle of an all important race for the postseason.

- Mike Trout and Torii Hunter are one of the best one-two punches in baseball. A double (triple on RF error) by Hunter in the 3rd inning scored Trout from 3B, and was the only run the Halos would put up this evening. I won't remove Mark Trumbo from "TNT" (although, someone has to light a fire under him...), but instead I'll let Trouty and Torii become their own sort of duo. They're all sorts of Batman & Robin right now, and I love it.

- Dan Haren threw a decent game this evening. Things didn't look promising in the first inning when the A's scored one run on two pitches. The Athletics' offense was not willing to let Haren get comfortable in the pitch count, and jumped on his pitches early. A few mistakes led to two solo home runs, and those three runs would be the only runs that the Athletics would score all game.

- After giving up his first major league hit and walk, there is proof that Nick Maronde is, in fact, human.

Halo A-Hole:

Tonight's Halo A-Hole is FAN CHOICE! Pick who you'd like to place a bit more of the blame on for tonight's loss because I really have no idea who to put here.

I'm not worried about the Angels after this loss. A bump in the road to the postseason is a bump any team would like to avoid, however, I'd much rather a team experience something of this nature now.

But, really. No more. Just tonight. That's it.
