Bad to the Bone. No, really.Sometimes stating something obvious can be hilarious. Whether it's in the delivery or maybe because it's just so apparent to everybody, yet no one has really come out and stated it so simply.I just finished watching the Mets/Nats game during which the Metros won on a late field goal. Good times all-around. Anyway, what stood out for me most was a quote from Gary Cohen in the seventh inning. Cohen is the Mets play-by-play TV guy and, while I know everyone is biased in favor of "their" local guy in the booth, he is phenomenal. Encyclopedic knowledge of the game. Great balance of explaining the game in straight talk, and breaking it down for the harder core fan with inside stuff.He also has a terrific, dry wit and delivery style on a variety of topics. And whether he meant it or not, Gary had me giggling with his commentary following a Lastings Milledge strikeout after which the former Met was huffing and puffing in the Nats dugout. He said...
