Sox interest in lower-profile pitchers continue as White Sox RHP, Gavin Floyd has been mentioned in rumors around Fenway.
According to a tweet by Jon Morosi, the Red Sox have shown interest in White Sox starter Gavin Floyd.
The 28-year-old went 12-13 with a 4.37 ERA in 30 starts for Chicago last season.
Floyd has only one winning season which came in 2008, and it was an impressive one. Floyd went 17-8, with a 3.84 ERA in 206.1 IP, all good for career best numbers. All seasons following were not terrible declines, just less impressive with a lot of consistency (in a good way). We'll wait to see if this materializes.
