The San Francisco Giants have signed infielder Emmanuel Burriss to a one-year contract, 22gigantes.com has learned. Burriss was eligible for arbitration.
The 26-year old switch hitter had a down year in 2011 and spent most of the year at Triple-A Fresno where he batted .297/.386/.389 with 2 HR, 10 RBI and 24 stolen bases in 45 games.
The Giants front office recently spoke about Burriss’ versatility, even going so far as saying he could spend some time in the outfield in addition to covering second base, third base and shortstop.
I hope you enjoyed reading "Giants re-sign Emmanuel Burriss." I'm interested in your opinion on this article. Why not leave a comment at 22gigantes.com?
