According to Bryan Hoch of MLB.com, the New York Yankees have acquired catcher Chris Stewart from the San Francisco Giants in exchange of George Kontos. Stewart hit .204/.283/.309 with 3 HR's in 162 AB's with the Giants in 2011. Kontos pitched six innings for the Yankees in 2011. He went 0-0 with a 3.00 ERA, 1.5 HR/9, 4.5 BB/9 and 9.0 SO/9.
