Touching: Chris Heisey got a bit choked up in the ninth. He had just hit his first big league homer and taken the field for ninth with Johnny Cueto’s one-hitter the line. But he thought of his father, Craig, who died in October of 2007 of Lou Gehrig’s disease. “It hit me,” Heisey said. “I really wished he could be here. But he was here in spirit. He’s in heaven. Hopefully, he was able to watch.” Heisey was something to watch. He went 3-for-5 with the two-run homer. Who doesn’t root for Chris Heisey? What a great story.
