Rich Rodriguez has landed a big-name recruit for the Arizona Wildcats. Trey Griffey, the oldest child of future Hall of Fame center fielder Ken Griffey Jr., has given a commitment to play football at the University of Arizona. His decision was first reported by the Orlando Sentinel. Griffey, a 6-foot-2, 185-pound wide receiver from Dr. Phillips High School in Orlando, made a visit to the Tucson campus last weekend, a week after visiting Arizona State. "I feel great it was basically just the atmosphere and I loved everything about it," Griffey told the Sentinel. "It was just a great, enjoyable trip to Tucson. "My parents said, 'It's up to you, you got to do what you want to do ... what you feel is right.' I'm going to the University of Arizona. It doesn't get any better than that." Griffey was also considering Iowa State, Michigan State and Washington State.
