In a move that has been LOOOOOOOONG awaited by Indians fans all over the country, DH Travis Hafner has finally been activated off of the disabled list after missing 28 games due to an oblique strain. During that stretch the Tribe went from having a significant lead in the AL Central to falling a game behind the Detroit Tigers. They were 10-18 without their hottest hitter. That is the shame in all of this. Hafner has been enjoying a renaissance season and was really raking before he went down. He was hitting .345 with five homers and 22 RBIs in 113 ABs. I know we all expect Travis to get right back in the swing of things – he was 3-6 in his rehab stint in Akron – but we can’t get ahead of ourselves here.
