Franklin Gutierrez hit a three-run homer off C.J. Wilson with two outs in the eighth inning Thursday night as the Mariners erased a one-run deficit and beat the Rangers 3-1. The key at-bat in the eighth was to the hitter before Gutierrez, Ken Griffey Jr. He drew a walk to extend the inning, which started with an Ichiro Suzuki double. Gutierrez hit 1-0 two-seam fastball that cut back over the middle of the plate. "I had a plan, and I just didn't execute," Wilson said. -- Jeff Wilson
