Rangers place 2B Josh Smith (glute) on 10-day IL

The Texas Rangers placed second baseman Josh Smith on the 10-day injured list Tuesday with a right glute strain. As a corresponding move, the Rangers recalled infielder Justin Foscue from Triple-A Round Rock.
