Josh Hamilton's busy offseason since his alcohol relapse continued Wednesday when he made an appearance on an internet show "Glenn Beck." Hamilton talked with guest host Dr. James Robison for nearly 30 minutes about his relapse and what's gone on in his life since then. The show appeared on GBTV.com, a subscription based video Web site based in Dallas. Hamilton said he's undergone a "Josh Hamilton makeover" since he drank at Dallas bar Jan. 31. He's focused on trying to figure out what is the cause for him to relapse. He's tried to address the problems by going to counseling by himself and with his wife Katie. "It's going to be a process," Hamilton said Wednesday in his first public interview since his relapse. "I'm not fixed but I'm trying to do the right thing one day at a time. The battle is not over. It's going to go on for a long time. It's a spiritual re-programming." He also said he needs to be a better communicator away from the ballpark and said that his wife has noticed a positive difference in him since the incident in his communication with her and his daughters. He also said another relapse is possible, but he's doing his best to eliminate the baggage that led to the one in January. Hamilton's appearance on the show was scheduled before his relapse. Hamilton has a comfort level with Robison, who is Hamilton's pastor and leads LIFE Outreach, a Euless-based ministry. Since he went public with the admission on Feb. 4, Hamilton has made an appearance at a speaking engagement in Katy and at a book signing in Hurst. Hamilton has also flown to New York and met with doctors for Major League baseball as well as the players' association. The Rangers have also hired a special assistant to travel with Hamilton in Shayne Kelley, although general manager Jon Daniels said last week that Kelly would not be an accountability partner for Hamilton. Daniels said Hamilton has to be accountable for his actions.
