Born on this day in 1959.Of course the France native Jeltz is most famous for his performance on June 8, 1989 against the Pittsburgh Pirates. After the Pirates built a ten run lead after the first inning, which Pirates broadcaster Jim Rooker proclaimed that if Pittsburgh lost that he would walk home from Veterans Stadium, the Phillies made a furious come back to win 15-11. Jeltz hit two of his five career home runs in the game, one from each side of the plate.
