PHOENIX While the rest of the Milwaukee Brewers prepare for an exhibition contest against Oakland at Maryvale Baseball Park on Tuesday, Corey Hart will be in suburban Glendale to undergo surgery on his right knee.Meeting with reporters Monday, Hart said he thinks he may have suffered the injury Feb. 24 when he slipped while making his way to Ryan Braun's nationally televised press conference. He started experiencing soreness over the last few days and an MRI over the weekend revealed a torn meniscus."I had a pretty good fall about a week ago, and I don't know if that had anything to do with it," Hard told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. "I was running to see Brauny's thing, and I slipped on the concrete out by the minor-league complex (in cleats). So I don't know if that was it."The injury is expected to sideline Hart, a two-time National League All-Star, for 3-4 weeks, meaning he will miss almost all of spring training for the second consecutive season. In 2011, Hart sat out much of camp while dealing with a strained oblique muscle. That injury led to a season-opening stint on the disabled list and contributed to a slow start when Hart returned to action in late April.Hart, a two-time All-Star, could again find himself on the disabled list when the Brewers open the 2012 season April 6 against the defending World Series-champion St. Louis Cardinals at Miller Park. If that's the case, manager Ron Roenicke could use Norichika Aoki to fill Hart's spot in right.Aoki, a standout in the Japanese Central League, started in left field Monday when the Brewers beat San Francisco, 7-3, in Scottsdale. He recorded his first hit when he singled of Giants left-hander Jeremy Affeldt.Roenicke was impressed with Aoki's defensive effort."He's going to be a good outfielder," Roenicke said. "I want to get him in right field to get him used to that, but I think he'll pick up that real fast."Quick hits: LHP Chris Narveson threw two perfect innings Monday in his first Cactus League appearance of the season IF Zelous Wheeler and IF Travis Ishikawa both homered for the Brewers on Monday Jeff Bianchi provided a few laughs when he stumbled trying to score on a two-run error in the sixth inning LF Ryan Braun will return to the starting lineup Tuesday.Up next: RHP Yovani Gallardo will start for the Brewers, who host Oakland at Maryvale Baseball Park at 2 p.m. CST.Follow Andrew Wagner on Twitter.
