It's reported that if the Mets decide to pass on Delgado they will look to resign Fernando Tatis. I've said this before, if Tatis can produce as he did in 2008 and some of 2009 then at what he will cost, he's worth it. But I believe in the law of diminishing returns and that if we go into another year relying on Tatis, he will look like the double play machine he was in the middle of 2009 and will return to the player who found himself a weak hitting 3B out of baseball. I hope I'm wrong I like Tatis, but you can't keep hoping you catch lightning in a bottle. It appears that Jon Heyman also has reservations about Tatis returning...if the #mets really do sign fernando tatis mostly for 1B (his worst position), they should have heads examined. source Jon Heyman Twitter
