Home plate umpire Derryl Cousins tripped over the foot of Cleveland Indians catcher Carlos Santana while trying to follow a play during Tuesday night's game at Progressive Field against the Cincinnati Reds.
In the top of the sixth inning, Reds shortstop Zack Cozart hit a grounder down the third base line that ended up curving foul. Cousins took a step forward to follow the play more closely when he tripped over Santana's foot, and he managed to get his elbows down to avoid a full faceplant.
Santana was nice enough to help Cousins up and wipe some of the dirt off his chest before the next pitch.
