The title pretty much explains it all.  A Hooters ballgirl was working at a spring training game between the Philadelphia Phillies and Tampa Bay Rays on Saturday, and picked up a live ball that she thought was a foul ball, and tossed it into the crowd.  I guess beauty didn't overtake the beast this time around. Charlie Manuel concerned with Roy Halladay’s spring struggles

Last week we told you that Roy Halladay’s velocity was down during a spring outing against the Washington Nationals. Though he had success in that start (facing only one Nats starter), his velocity was down again Tuesday and this time he struggled. Halladay gave up seven runs, six hits, four walks, and two home runs in 2.2 innings against a Detroit Tigers lineup that did not include...

Hooters ball girl snags ball at Phillies spring training game, doesn't know its fair (Video)

While most think spring training is just for the players, the ball boys and ball girls are also getting into the the swing of things as well. Back on Saturday, one Hooters ball girl stationed at the Tampa Bay Rays and Philadelphia Phillies had a moment that she would like to forget. After a Tampa Bay line drive in the sixth inning, the ball girl scooped it up and handed to...

Tigers rough up Halladay, beat Phillies

Roy Halladay used two meaningful words to alleviate concern over a terrible outing. ''Nothing hurts,'' Halladay said. Considering he's coming off an injury-plagued year, that's important news for the Philadelphia Phillies. Phillies Notes and Roster Projections, 3/11

It is 3/11, and the Phillies have made a round of cuts, sending some players down already. Honestly the only mild surprise was Savery going so quick, but that's not even a real shock. Ryan Howard continued his hot start with another weekend homer. No shock there. Cole Hamels was...

Hooters ball girl picks up fair ball at Phillies-Rays game (video)

The Philadelphia Phillies have an interesting way to attract fans to their meaningless spring training games- having a Hooters ball girl in both foul territories to act ballgirls. What says Clearwater, Florida more than a Hooters ball girl?.Sounds like brilliant marketing; MLB exhibitions between 8th string players need something to spice them up. Of course, this can happen- a Hooters...

An Updated View of the Phillies Roster, 3/12

Roy Halladay got rocked today. Like, rocked, rocked. He's only being clocked in the 84-85 range today too. Ok, enough awful-ness, let's run through some other topics in the blogosphere today: The Phillies cut five guys: Tyler Cloyd, Tyson Gillies, Sebastian Valle, Mauricio Robles, and B.J. Rosenberg. High Cheese had...
