The Houston Astros and Milwaukee Brewers Sunday afternoon match-up might’ve been the funniest fan related baseball game in a long time.  We just got done writing about a fan who used a baby seat to try and catch a home run.  Now, this fan took a foul ball right to the nose. Dude is lucky he didn’t start bleeding everywhere. Plus, did you see the baby behind the guy?  What is with all these babies attending Astros’ games?

Astros can't afford to be wasteful

HOUSTON There was a time in late May when what the Astros did on Saturday against the Brewers wasn't so foreign, when pluck and persistence positioned them to be among the surprises in baseball. They were opportunistic and committed to doing the little things that would not only enable them to perform beyond their limitations but, more importantly, to win. On May 25 the Astros...

Continued growth the real goal in second half

HOUSTON This is when perspective matters, when one's opinion influences how the second half of the season might unfold for the Astros. The Astros are either too young for the upcoming stretch of losing series to undermine their enthusiasm, or they're too inexperienced to ably manage the stress of spending the next three months playing out the string. There doesn't appear...

Young Astros looking toward future

It's hard to take stock at the halfway point of the Astros' season when there were not really any clear goals. This team was never expected to contend for anything, and sitting 33-53, that's been justified. With a rebuilding club under new management, one of the goals has certainly been met. "We've had a chance to give our young players who could be here...

Astros end 9-game losing streak

Brad Mills breezed into the post-game interview room after Saturday's game with a huge grin planted on his face. ''It's nice to come in here with a smile,'' the Houston manager said after watching his team break a season-long nine-game losing streak with a 6-3 win over the Milwaukee Brewers. Scott Moore homered for the second straight day and J.D. Martinez...

Greinke could start again after early ejection

The Houston Astros took advantage of an early exit by the Milwaukee Brewers' ace to end a nine-game skid. They could end up facing him again before the All-Star break. The Astros will try to avoid ending the season's first half with the worst record in the majors when they close their series against the Brewers on Sunday. Houston (33-52) enters play Sunday one-half game...

Zack Grienke gets ejected after spiking ball (Video)

Saturday's Houston Astros/Milwaukee Brewers had a rather bizarre moment as Brewers star pitcher Zach Grienke got ejected for spiking a baseball. In the first inning, Brewers pitcher Grienke thought he had gotten out Astros Jose Altuve on a ground ball play at first base. First base umpire Scott Holbrook didn't see it that way and called Altuve safe which caused...
