Houston Astros centerfielder Jordan Schafer hit .245 with one home run and six RBI this past season. So he didn’t really make a lot news for his on the field exploits this past season. But he did get some media attention while driving in Tampa last night. The Astros were smoked over and over again by their opponents this past summer. This is a story of an Astros player probably smoking weed over and over. h/t Deadspin According to ABC Tampa Schafer, 25, was stopped at a red light at Columbus Drive and Glen Avenue at around 12:30 a.m on Tuesday. Police officers in an unmarked car reported seeing Schafer smoking marijuana behind the wheel of a 2008 Land Rover. Three people were inside the vehicle. The windows were rolled down and officers smelled a strong odor of marijuana, authorities said. Schafer reportedly admitted to smoking marijuana.
