While Ramon Martinez is starting at second base today, Damion Easley has informed Jerry Manuel he's ready to start. Easley, who has been limited to pinch-hitting since straining his right quadriceps muscle against the Braves at Shea during the last home stand, labeled himself 80-85%. Bottom line: Easley has played more games than any active player who has never appeared in the postseason, and it's now or never.

"Quite honestly, it's not 100%," Easley said. "It's somewhere between 80 and 85%. I find that playable. I told Jerry, 'You know what? All my chips are in the pot. Use them how you want to use them.'"
