Ichiro Suzuki: High Mental Stress, May Leave Seattle Mariners

Ichiro Suzuki has always been one of the more stoic major superstars in the world, but losing and seeing his streak of 10 seasons with 200 hits come to an abrupt end was enough to cause the greatest hitter in the world some frustration.  He has always kept a controlled buffer with the media, but recently he decided to open up and reveal to the world — in his opinion — just what went wrong last season. Commenting on his own self-imposed pressure to be the best hitter in the world, Ichiro recently stated, “I felt desperate last season. That doesn’t happen to me very often. Mental stress is a lot worse than physical stress. Yes my skin gets dry but it’s a lame conclusion to blame everything on age. People are quick to point to age.
