The Cleveland Indians need to do two things. 1). They need to recognize great talent 2). They need to pay that talent. Now comes the case of Indians set up man Vinnie Pestano. The guy is arguably one of the best set up men in all of Major League baseball. If the average  $3,305,393 during the 2012 season, how much should the Indians pay Pestano? The answer is anything he wants. The Cleveland Indians paid Pestano only $491,200 in 2012. The guy did a great job and he should be rewarded for his efforts handsomely. The Indians have a poor history in treating great talent fairly. In Pestano’s case they need to step up to the plate and do 2 things. The first is to pay the guy enough money to get him to want to stay in Cleveland, the second is to have this guy sign a very long term contract.
