Brendan's take: In a move sure to go under the radar to most fantasy players, the Phillies acquired Ty Wigginton from the Rockies. He'll prove valuable in not only NL leagues but also in deeper mixed daily ones. His multi-position eligibility is a perfect fit for the Phillies, who have an aging Utley and Polanco at second and third respectively, an injured Ryan Howard, and uncertainty at both corner outfield spots. Look for Wigginton to get ignored like he does every year and quielty put up 17 homers with a .260 AVG. I see him getting 350-plus ABs in Philadelphia and proving to be a great 'glue guy' for both them and your fantasy team.

Charlie's take: Wiggy will find a decent amount of playing time in Philly, but outside of deep leagues and NL-only leagues, he may not be worth drafting. That being said, keep tabs on the health of the Phillies infield as opening day nears. If he opens the season as a starter he could run into his yearly power binge early. Fantasy GMs will have to watch Wiggy closely, as usual. He may hit anywhere from .240-.260, but it's the power and position flexibility that will make him valuable in spurts. Make sure he's on your team once he stats launching baseballs into the stands.
