Cleveland Indians designated hitter Travis Hafner left Sunday's 8-7 loss to the Detroit Tigers with a right foot strain.
Hafner snapped an 0-for-16 stretch with an RBI single, but came up lame and was tagged out trying to return to first base in a rundown.
The 34-year-old Hafner, who has struck out 21 times in his last 48 at-bats, entered Sunday's contest with a .282 average, 11 homers and 48 RBIs this season.
