Cleveland Sports 360:
Roberto Hernandez had a rough outing and then he left the game with an injured ankle. What do you do with a guy like this? Roberto Hernandez’s time with the Cleveland Indians had to be coming to an end. The drama the Indians lived through this season isn’t worth the wait. The former Fausto Carmona hasn’t been a help to the Indians starting rotation since he has returned at all. The Indians can’t count on Roberto Hernandez to get through 5 innings of work. He has been giving up runs and the Tribe has to work from behind in every game he has started.
Last night Roberto Hernandez pitched for 2-1/3 innings and gave up 4 hits including one home run and 3 runs. The Indians would go on to get zipped once again this season. The Indians lost 3-0 and now have a record of 55-73. If someone would have said on August 28th the Indians would be 18 games below .500 back in may, we would have said they needed their head examined. How this team can play so poorly in the second half of this season sug...

Last night while trying to avoid the actual topic of the Indians losing to the A’s 1 I decided it would be interesting to start discussing what kind of price Shin-Soo Choo could demand on the open market. We all like Choo (I think.) He is a player who should be part of any team’s solution as opposed to an issue. Still, he’s not to the level of a big-time premier free agent...
A lost series to the Yankees looks like a huge positive step forward as the Indians weren't swept after being swept in five of their last eight series. They haven't actually won a series in over a month, the last being at the end of July against Detroit when they were still in the playoff hunt. At this point, winning a single game is a momentous victory. Marred with two losing...
The winning streak is over.

If you were one of the alleged 13,018 in attendance last night, I salute you. You are a real diehard. The rumor is the Indians season ticket base is about 8,500 or so. When STO made the not so wise decision to show overhead or long view shots of Progressive Field, it looked as though there were 3,500, maybe 4,000 tops in the stands. The Dolan family, Mark Shapiro, Chris Antonetti...

Player of the Game
Chris Seddon earned his first Player of the Game of his career with his best game of the season. Seddon threw 3.2 innings, taking over for Roberto Hernandez early in the game. He did give up a single inherited runner, but was just about flawless after that point, allowing just three base runners and striking out one. His final score was 3.05.
