Cleveland Indians righthander Carlos Carrasco was suspended six games for throwing at the head of Kansas City's Billy Beane on Friday night.
Carrasco, who was immediately ejected from the game, was also fined an undisclosed amount for the incident.
The 24-year-old Carrasco is appealing the suspension and is expected to make his scheduled start for Wednesday's game against Boston.
He is 8-9 with a 4.67 in 20 starts this year.
