Found April 27, 2012 on Waiting For Next Year:
If you have seen Indians left-hander Rafael Perez pitch so far this season, you can tell something has been off with him. He is barely touching the mid-80′s with his fastball. We don’t know the cause of that loss of speed, but the Indians are obviously concerned. This afternoon, Perez was placed on the 15-day disabled list with a strained left lat muscle. His place on the roster will be taken by lefty Nick Hagadone, who did a nice job in his week long stint with the Indians last week. Hagadone made three appearances, allowing one earned one in three and a third innings. He struck out four and walked just one. It’s not known as of yet how long Perez will be out, but Hagadone is the future left-handed set up man for Manny Acta’s bullpen. He was spectacular this Spring in Goodyear and will look to continue his hot hand now that he is back. Acta won’t be shy to use the power-throwing southpaw. In Columbus, Hagadone hasn’t allowed an earned run on four hits in seven and a third innings pitched with seven K’s and one walk.

Box Score: Indians 3, Angels 2

Asdrubal Cabrera came back to be the hero tonight! After trailing 2-0 for most of the game, the Indians slowly but surely caught up to the host Angels. Justin Masterson had an effective outing, entering the ninth inning to start with over 100 pitches until Vinnie Pestano came to the rescue in his usual “No Fear” mentality. From there, a leadoff Aaron Cunningham double kick-started...

Home cooking isn't helping Indians

The Cleveland Indians have been dominant on the road this season. Playing at home, however, has proven to be a major problem. Kansas City added to the Indians' home woes on Thursday, scoring three runs in the fifth inning en route to a 4-2 victory. The loss was Cleveland's sixth in eight games at Progressive Field in 2012, which has largely negated its 7-2 record on the...

The Cleveland Indians aren’t very offensive right now

It is the outfield and first base. Since they signed Johnny Damon, they should check and see if two more fomer Oakland A’s are available:  Ricky Henderson and Jose Canseco. They couldn’t do much worse and they would surely generate fan interest. For first base, how about Richie Sexson? Isn’t it time to once again bring Russell Branyan back?
