The Cleveland Indians have placed outfielder Michael Brantley on the 60-day disabled list, effectively ending his season.Brantley hasn't played since Monday after suffering a wrist injury. The ailment didn't improve throughout the week, and Brantley was placed on the 15-day disabled list Friday.The 24-year-old finishes the season with a .266 average, seven homers, 46 RBIs and 13 stolen bases in 451 at-bats.The Indians recalled Jerad Head from Triple-A Columbus to take Brantley's roster spot. Head, 28, has a .284 average with 24 home runs and 70 RBIs in 422 at-bats in the minors.Head was inserted into the lineup for Sunday's game against Kansas City and will be making his major-league debut.
