I made my case for Bengie Molina almost a month ago, in my opinion he's the total package of exactly what this team needs. He's a durable, proven veteran and a good clubhouse leader. Not only can he handle a young pitching staff but he's one of the best hitting catchers in the league. Molina is in the last year of his contract and there has been speculation that the Giants may move him. It's also been reported that Omar wasn't satisfied with the Schneider/Castro catching duo and may look to change things up behind the plate for the second year in a row. In his latest column Jon Heyman reports that the Mets have discussed Molina....The Mets are considering whether to try to upgrade at catcher in addition to their goal of improving the bullpen (that's the first priority), the rotation and possibly the outfield. Second base is of lesser consideration. As for catcher, they've discussed the Giants' Bengie Molina. source SI.com
