Skip Bayless opened the flood gates on the topic of Jeter and steroids on Wednesday when he questioned if the 38-year-old was having an amazing season through the use of PED’s. Now, it’s not as if Skip (even with all his trollish foilbles) pulled this question out of thin air, after 2 major players have been caught using banned substances this past week alone. Was Skip within right to throw out Jeter’s name? Derek Jeter has been the face of the sport of baseball, and throughout the good and the bad the one thing that’s remained a constant is the reliability of ‘Number 2? as he dons the pinstripes with pride and plays the game the quote ‘right way’. So dare I ask, if anyone is ‘worthy’ of a steroid accusation pass (if there is such a thing) shouldn’t it be Jeter? The numbers are almost scary they’re just that good. Last year the Yankees who are essentially the 5th avenue of sports in general, were startling ‘cheap’ when it came to Jeter’s contract negotiations last year. General Man

Jeter fumes after pitcher throws at his head

There was a scary moment during the second inning of Friday night's New York Yankees-Cleveland Indians game after Derek Jeter took an inside pitch from Corey Kluber to the side of his head. The Yankees shortstop didn't take the brushback lightly and walked to first base glaring at the young pitcher and mouthing the words, "You don't do that." The fastball went...

Ticked-off Jeter says ESPN's Bayless 'should be tested'

New York Yankees captain Derek Jeter brushed off sports commentator Skip Bayless' suggestion that  human growth hormone was behind the shortstop's noticeably pumped-up stats this season.  On the ESPN show "First Take," Bayless— the resident antagonist— said Jeter's performance at age 38 merits suspicion of him "using something." Said Bayless...

Yanks' Jeter stays in game despite beaning

Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter stayed in the game despite getting hit in the batting helmet by a pitch. Jeter was hit in the left side of his head by a pitch from Cleveland rookie Corey Kluber in the second inning on Friday night. The force of the impact knocked his helmet off and staggered the 38-year-old Jeter as the crowd went from chanting, ''Der-ek Je-ter''...

Trolling Skip Bayless suggests Derek Jeter is taking PEDs

New York Yankees living legend, Derek Jeter, recently moved into 11th place on the all-time career hits list, and finds himself 1000 hits behind Pete Rose. Jeter is having a phenomenal bounce back season, after a couple of mediocre campaigns. But if we go back to post All-Star break of last year, Jeter has been [...]

Open Letter to Joe Girardi: It is time to put your best hitter - Derek Jeter - batting third

Dear Madam or Sir,It is said that next door neighbors cannot savor the Grand Canyon. Usher grew tired of Heidi Klum's face. By 60, Pete Townsend couldn't hear a note the Who was playing. One tragic flaw of humanity is our incredible ability to overlook the obvious. So let us now state the obvious:The heart of the Yankees should bat in the heart of their order.Bat...

Skip Bayless is absolutely correct to question if Derek Jeter is using performance-enhancing drugs

Renowned sports journalist and television personality Skip Bayless said yesterday morning on ESPN’s “First Take” that legendary New York Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter may be thriving on the diamond thanks to the benefits of performance-enhancing drugs. After recording a career … Continue reading →

Jeter comment exposes Bayless again

About a year ago, I walked out of my apartment in New York City and saw a line 500 deep of teenage girls and their mothers screaming their heads off. "What's going on?" I asked one of the starry-eyed moms, assuming a pop star or world-class athlete was inside the hotel they were crowding in front of. "Kim Kardashian's filming her show in there!" she...

Jeter brushes off PED hypothetical

Derek Jeter brushed off comments by ESPN analyst Skip Bayless, who raised the possibility the star shortstop may have revived his career by taking Human Growth Hormone. Bayless made his comments on "First Take" on a day that former Cy Young Award winner Bartolo Colon became the second big league player in a week suspended for 50 games following a positive drug test. The...

More reasons to hate ESPN: Skip Bayless (aka Ass Clown)

Ass-Clown! ((ht: biglead.com)) This is a little bit of a rant and goes somewhat counter to what we want to say here because we know that any acknowledgement of the existence of Pond Scum like Skip Bayless just makes ESPN more eager to keep him on TV. The latest reason that the man has no business on TV or arguably reporting period is this: He makes a random comment about...

Derek Jeter Comments Prove Skip Bayless Is a Nothing More Than A Shameless, Ignorant Self Promoter

Anyone who has ever watched ESPN, and more notably First Take, knows that Skip Bayless runs his mouth like no one else on the network. It seems like almost on a daily basis Bayless insults some athlete, only he generally targets the ones who most fans admire. It is his entire persona. Bayless makes ignorant sounding comments just so that he can continue his shameless...

Derek Jeter Would Rather You Didn't Bean Him

"You don't do that," NY Yankees SS Derek Jeter to Cleveland Indians pitcher Corey Kluber after getting nailed in the head. Later, CC Sabathia threw behind Asdrubal Cabrera and both pitchers were... Full story at Bob's Blitz ~ http://www.bobsblitz.com

Funny tweets about Matt Kemp, Derek Jeter, and Jimmy Clausen

Fans tweet the darndest things about athletes. Many of them make about as much sense as what comes out of Skip Bayless mouth. This batch is no exception. “My thirst is definitely real” is my favorite part of that tweet. This is how it all starts. Sleeping in a trash can outside of his house comes next. Great analysis Kevin. I’m sure the Saints are thinking about starting...

Sabathia sharp for Yanks in return

The New York Yankees were happy to get CC Sabathia back and delighted not to lose Derek Jeter. Sabathia came off the disabled list and pitched well, Nick Swisher drove in three runs and Jeter shook off being beaned as New York broke a three-game losing streak by beating the Cleveland Indians 3-1 on Friday night. ''He took it like a champ,'' Swisher said of Jeter...

Thursday Morning Cram Session, 8/23

I might be crazy, but I’m really glad that Skip Bayless made those completely baseless, patently unfair, and utterly stupid comments about Derek Jeter last night.  Bayless will be hearing about it all day for suggesting, “If you are Derek Jeter, would you think about using HGH right now?  I am not saying he uses a thing; I have no idea. But within the confines of his sport...
