Is Kevin Kouzmanoff Ready to Bounce Back in 2011?

Re-meet your starting third baseman Imagine how you would feel if your boss was going out in public trying to find someone to take your job? What if your boss tried to hire someone to take your place, failed, and then tried again and again with different people. And, when he couldn’t find anybody, then – and only then – did he say, “guess what, you get to keep your job. Congratulations!” I feel for what Kevin Kouzmanoff had to endure this offseason with the Oakland A’s. I know it’s business, but the A’s did not hide the fact that they wanted an upgrade at third base. They went after Adrian Beltre only to be denied. Then, they kicked the tires on Chone Figgins who wanted nothing to do with the A’s. They signed third baseman Edwin Encarnacion and then decided not to keep him (to be honest, the whole thing was a bit confusing).
