Found March 03, 2013 on Throw The Flag:
Jarvis Jones, former Georgia Bulldog linebacker who caused havoc on the football field, threw out the first pitch at the Atlanta Braves baseball game in a Braves uniform. Jones is entering the NFL Draft and is projecting to be a high pick. A nice move by the Braves to let the in state star throw out the first pitch. Jones put up video game like stats this year in the rigorous SEC. HT @BassinDawg

Braves spring training report: Week-1

If spring training seems longer this year, that’s because it is. One week longer, to be exact. For those players who have agreed to represent their home countries in the World Baseball Classic, however, spring is much shorter than usual. For Braves’ shortstop Andrelton Simmons, spring training is already over (at least for now), and he’s playing meaningful baseball one month...

Dan Uggla: Alarms Going Off

Uggla often starts slow in the spring and early season It is still early in the Braves spring camp, so no need to worry about anything yet, right?  Players are still getting into shape and after all, the games don’t count. That is all true, but in the case of Dan Uggla, is it already time to be concerned?  Uggla is notoriously not a good spring and early season player, so we...

(Eds: APNewsNow. Will be updated. With AP Photos.) By PAUL NEWBERRY AP Sports Writer Craig Kimbrel has a tough encore in 2013. After all, he's coming off one of the most dominant seasons for a closer in baseball history. Kimbrel had 42 saves for the Atlanta Braves, but that only tells part of the story. His ERA was a microscopic 1.01. He allowed just 27 hits in 62 2-3 innings...

"About 75 of those 80 were stressful pitches," Hudson said. Justin...
