Jays' Litsch goes on DL with right shoulder injury

Toronto Blue Jays right-hander Jesse Litsch was placed on the 15-day disabled list Friday because of an impingement in his right shoulder. The move was made retroactive to Thursday, a day after Litsch was wild in a 6-5 loss to the Tampa Bay Rays. He hit two batters, made two errors, had three walks and a wild pitch over five innings. Litsch, 26, has a 4-3 record and a 4.66 ERA over eight starts this season. He has 36 strikeouts and 18 walks in 46 1-3 innings. The Blue Jays also recalled infielder Mike McCoy from triple-A Las Vegas. He was expected to be available for Saturday's home game against the Houston Astros. McCoy has appeared in 19 games for the Blue Jays this season. He has a .238 average with one home run and two RBIs.
