Jimmy Rollins & Shane Victorino win Gold Gloves, originally uploaded by pompomflipflop
While individual awards obviously don't mean as much when your team falls short of the ultimate goal, it's nice to see a couple of your own guys recognized for their play.
Congrats are in order for Young James and the Flyin' Hawaiian on their second consecutive Rawlings Gold Glove Awards.
Notably absent from the list of Glove winners was Phillies first baseman Ryan How... er, I mean second baseman Chase Utley. Utley's defense was considered something of a liability when he first came up to the bigs, but his work ethic has turned him into a mighty fine second baseman. Maybe next year, Chase.
