Jimmy Rollins Was Right But.........

Last season, the 2008 Philadelphia Phillies won the World Series. Of course, there were other headlines last year than just the Phillies winning their first title in 25 years. I'm talking about Jimmy Rollins calling his very own fans frontrunners. Well, I'm sad to say this but, it's true. But, the fact that we Philly fans are frontrunners is besides the fact. The fact is that we "frontrunners" live and die for our sports teams. It has to be a known fact by now that Philly fans take it to a whole new level when it comes to cheering on their teams. ?So who's to say that we aren't frontrunners. Because we are, but by being a frontrunner, we help our team out in a way by showing the team that we care enough to show embarrassment in their play, or even that we care enough to come out to the stadium and cheer them on. No matter how bad it has gotten over the years, Philly fans have still come out to cheer on their team, no matter what. So, if that is one of the many different definitions of a frontrunner than so be it, but le this be know Jimmy Rollins and all others who want to call us frontrunners or any other names for that matter. Jimmy, we will always have your back after what you have brought to Philly and when you perform well, we will cheer you on to the fullest extent, but when you dog it and start to consistently perform below what you are capable of, then you will get booed! It's that simple. Oh, and all you other fans out there who think that Philly fans are out of control, disgraceful, frontrunners, and crybabies, well all I have to say to you is that come talk to us when all you other fans can have as much fun at a sporting event as you do at Wachovia Center, Citizens Bank Park, and Lincoln Financial Field, than at any other stadium. Philly fans will always take it to the next level when it comes to sporting events, but there's one thing that they do not allow and that is their team to get sloppy on them. So when I say that Jimmy Rollins was right in calling us frontrunners, I really mean he was, but what he brought out in Philly fans by saying that might just have propelled the Phillies to their 2nd World Series title in team history. Yes, that one comment about the fans more or less got the Phillies into the play-offs and ultimately won them the World Series.
