According to Jon Paul Morosi and Ken Rosenthal of FOXSports, the Texas Rangers are close to signing right handed pitcher Joakim Soria to a two-year deal. As Rosenthal points out, Soria is coming off Tommy John surgery and won't be ready for Opening Day. Soria, 28, went 5-5 with a 2.70 ERA, 2.91 FIP 9.0 K/9, 2.5 BB/9 and 1.0 HR/9 in 50.0 innings for the Royals in 2011 before injurying his elbow.
