Video when it becomes available of course, but in the third inning of today’s game, Roy Oswalt was down 3-0 to Joe Mauer and decided, for really no good reason, to throw some heat right between Mauer’s shoulder blades.

Much to everyone’s surprise, the Twins retaliated for the clearly intentional hit by pitch. Of course, the Twins usually haven’t shown any signs of life in about 40 years, so Scott Diamond had no idea how to throw at any Texas Rangers, and he chucked it towards Josh Hamilton’s head. Take a look at the video by clicking this very hyperlink.

It’s nice that the team is coming together as, you know, a team. But at the same time, I wish something like this happened earlier in the season. Maybe even last season.

Minnesota Twins outfielder Denard Span missed his tenth straight game because of a shoulder injury.  He was able to take batting practice Tuesday, but was not healthy enough to lace them up Tuesday or Wednesday.  The frustrating part for the Twins – they don’t know what’s wrong with Span.  I’m no doctor, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night, so I know that...

Hendriks, Twins look to take series in Oakland

For a team undergoing plenty of change, the Oakland Athletics don't seem too bothered. A different result from Tommy Milone wouldn't hurt matters, either.
