Tom Groeschen of the Cincinnati Enquirer reports via twitter the Reds first baseman Joey Votto suffered a setback with his knee injury recovery. According to Groeschen, Votto underwent surgery on Friday to remove a piece of floating cartilage from his knee and will likely miss 10 more days. Votto, a three-time All Star and 2010 MVP winner, will likely miss the remainder of the month as he recovers from this latest setback. While I don’t anticipate him missing more time, it is always possible that the Ontario, Canada native could have lingering issues from his knee throughout the remainder of the season.

If Reds players competed in the Olympics

As the 2012 Summer Olympic Games comes to a close this weekend, I couldn't help but wonder how some of the current Reds would fare in a few of the events. So, I gave it a little thought and came up with the following event/player pairings. Remember, these are just for kicks and giggles. Sean Marshall - Archery + The tall left-hander has literally been on point this...

Cueto displays all-around ability during 15th win

Johnny Cueto's pitching talent has been evident since his electrifying major league debut on April 3, 2008, when he became the first pitcher since at least 1900 to log at least 10 strikeouts without walking a batter. He emerged with a 3-2 win over the Arizona Diamondbacks. Since then, the Cincinnati Reds right-hander has worked to transform himself from a pudgy prodigy into...
